The Birthday Party

What a great time we had yesterday at the Birthday Party

Everyone was fantastic and although for me the day flew by I think everyone enjoyed it

It was lovely to see so many familiar faces some of whom we have not seen for quite a while.

Thank you all so much for coming and making our Birthday so special

Today's the Day

Nearly ten o'clock and we are all ready to set up the Birthday Party.

People are starting to arrive already and it does not start until 1pm

Will be glad when today is over and I can relax this evening with a bottle of red wine and I do mean a bottle

To make matters worse loads of boxes of Charlie Bears arrived 8 o'clock Saturday morning.
It is unheard of to have deliveries on Saturday and there was me all dressed up in my Saturday best! Still managed to sort them out eventually

Rain, deliveries and all else!

What a morning. It is pouring with rain and looks as though it is not going to stop all day. I know my garden needed water but not this much!

Getting really busy sorting out our 20th Birthday Party on June 21st and starting to get quite excited about it now - Still lots to do though!

The first of the Steiff UK Red Pandas and Bella bears arrived yesterday so hoping some will be collected over the weekend. Bernie has been busy posting others.

The phone has been red hot this week as the Charlie Bears Summer brochures have now been sent out to collectors and we have been inundated with requests for Blueberry Muffin. Have already sold out of our allocation and only wish we had ordered more. Cannot get it right every time!

Birthday Party

Emailed the Birthday Party invitations out at last

Poor Bernie has been tearing his hair out working out how to personalise each one. Hope you appreciate the effort he has put in.

We are now in the process of sending out the ones by post and so you should all have received your invitations by the end of the week.

Then it will be all go for us finalising the arrangements, so much to do and so little time!

No lifting from me today!

Just been to have my back done and feeling very sorry for myself!
No lifting boxes for me for a few days. Good job the 7 boxes from Charlie Bears arrived on Tuesday!

Rachael has rearranged the windows and as usual they look lovely. The sun is still shining and I might sneak off early to have a sit in the sun.

Easter in Ironbridge

Well, we are coming to the end of the Easter school holidays and, boy, has it been busy?

We have had one of our busiest fortnights for ages and according to the local press the Ironbridge Gorge Museum have had their highest number of vistors ever!

Maybe more people have stayed in the UK this Easter.

Chaos in Ironbridge as Odin arrives!

On Tuesday Charlie Bears 6 Foot "Odin" panda arrived by special delivery in an articulated lorry!!

As anyone who has visited Ironbridge can imagine total chaos ensued.

All traffic stopped and as no fork lift truck was provided poor Odin had to be removed from his pallett and unpacked outside. Fortunately it was not raining!
Even then we were not sure he would get through the doors but with help from a few passers by he squeezed through!

Thanks to Caz he was standing proudly in one of our windows by lunch time.
He is now master of all he surveys and loves being the centre of attention.
